
Originally from Atlanta, GA, April began taking an active role in Grassroots Politics in 2002 when she worked in the Salisbury office of Senator Elizabeth Dole. In 2004, she began volunteering in the Meck GOP's headquarters. That same year she joined the RNC's 72-hour Task Force and was sent to campaign for Bush/Cheney in Lima, Ohio. April served as Finance Chairman in 2008 for the Meck GOP, in addition to being a Precinct Supervisor in the Northern part of the county. During the 2008 campaign April was a member of the McCain-Palin NC "Joe the Plumber" Coalition, appearing in the national campaign ad "Sweat Equity." April is the owner of a small family construction company and lives in Huntersville, NC.
