Ed Barnes - Candidate Recruitment Chairman

Ed, a resident of Charlotte since 2000, serves as Executive Director of Westminster Ministries Foundation. Previously, Ed practiced corporate law in the Charlotte office of Kennedy Covington Lobdell & Hickman.

Ed received a B. S. in Physics-Engineering from Washington & Lee University, graduating magna cum laude, and a J. D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served as Managing Editor of the Law Review. Ed is a founding board member of the Charlotte Chapter of the Christian Legal Society. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Ed and his wife, Wallace, are members of Uptown Christ Covenant Church (PCA) where they serve in various capacities. Ed and Wallace both grew up in Rock Hill, South Carolina, experiencing the advantages of conservative upbringing and a pro-family pro-business state and local community. They have that same desire for their son and two daughters here in Charlotte.
